KARACHI: The chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan Dr Farooq Sattar said elements who wanted to
split the party should remember tha
t they would meet their fate one day. He was addressing a public gathering to mark Youm-e-Shuhada here on Friday.
“All those elements who wanted to
split the party into many factions should remember tha
t they will meet their fate one day, he said, adding, “MQM was and will remain united despite conspiracies from the outside and from immature friends inside,” he added.
“We have sacrificed everything for this country and o
ur cause started with the independence movement of Pakistan, he added.
“We are observing Youm-e-Shuhada in the memory
of all those who have scarified their lives for a great cause and democracy,” he said, “The sacrifice of MQM workers will not go in vain.” “Karachi is a fort of MQM and it will stay like that,” he said, adding that “We are st
ill committed to the basic ideology of MQM that was laid dawn on June 11, 1978. When will the killers of MQM workers be arrested by the law enforcers? Farooq questioned. “The country’s policy makers should end victimization against the MQM,” he urged. “Our public gathering on December 25 this year will wash-away the delusions
of all those who consider MQM a syrupy sweet,” he remarked. “For the first time, the chief minister will be from MQM in 2018,” he informed, adding, “This is our belief that the MQM chief minister will take oath.”
